Sadullah Çekmece X Vitelli
He was born in Antakya in 1974. After completing his primary, middle, and high school education in Antakya,
He graduated from the Ceramic Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University in 2002. Under the supervision of Tüzüm Kızılcan, he completed his graduation thesis titled "A Proposal for the Use of Ceramics in Architecture: The Example of Rüstem Pasha Mosque."
After participating in various workshops and projects, in 2005, he established his own studio under the name "Sır-Çini ve Seramik Atölyesi" (Glaze-Tile and Ceramic Workshop) in Beyoğlu Tünel. In his workshop, he produces modular surface coverings and various ceramic forms, as well as wall panels and tile forms inspired by traditional tile motifs, in addition to ceramic art.
In 2006, he opened an exhibition showcasing his modular surface ceramics that he designed through the organic analysis of traditional tile motifs, during the "Design Week 2006" fair held on the old Galata Bridge.
Currently, he continues his work at his workshop in Galata and continues to provide hands-on workshops there.
